My story…
I have been searching for a place to fit in all my life.
I was born in Indonesia to Chinese parents. So from a very early age, I was exposed to different cultures and languages. My maternal side adopted more Chinese traditional culture and my paternal side adopted Dutch culture because my paternal grandparents were Chinese immigrants.
When I was 16 years old, I came to the United States as a high school exchange student and after graduation enrolled in an American college. I accepted Christ as my Savior through the ministry of an American host family during my college years.
The devil didn’t like it though! Life was really hard after that.
But GOD continues to pursue me!
After I survived the 1998 May Riot in Indonesia, I went to the Philippines to work at an International church.
My husband proposed and we have made Ohio home ever since.
Through God’s providence and grace, I graduated with my Ph.D in Speech and Hearing Science and became the first Indonesian-born Speech Language Pathologist with a Ph.D in the field.
I recently completed the Camino de Santiago Portuguese route and enjoyed sauntering with God!
God has been so so good to me through all the storms of this life and I wish to share that with you!
My family…
Meet my family…
My husband and I have three wonderful kids. We love music, theater, and traveling together. We also enjoy sharing meals and finding good local restaurants whenever we travel.
